Consulting
Our skilled team of medical equipment consultants and planners brings a diverse background from clinical, vendor, and construction fields to uniquely provide a comprehensive approach to MEQ services. We provide a streamlined process for medical equipment planning utilizing Equipment Solution Planning (ESP®). Our team seamlessly integrates into yours, sharing tools and expertise to capture inventory, develop budgets, procure equipment, and ensure a smooth move and activation.
Equipment Solution Planning (ESP®) is a proprietary, web-based software developed specifically for SSR's use in medical equipment projects. Focused on inventory, planning, procurement, and move management, ESP® uses real-time data to provide current equipment specifications and budget information to clients and the design team.
Our team provides a comprehensive asset management service in which our team of consultants perform an inventory of existing furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) to support clients with existing inventory audit showing conditions, quantities, and locations. Our professionals can assist with applying new bar codes on inventory for management and tracking, and can also provide suggested replacement cost reports. The physical count is taken by staff members who are familiar with the equipment, its function, the ability to quickly and accurately recognize the condition, accessories required, and usable life of the equipment. All information is provided to clients through Equipment Solution Planning (ESP).
In the healthcare setting, we provide clinical expertise in operations and equipment integration, suitability for clinical environments, and technologically advanced equipment that ensures the best value for capital and operational investments.
Our MEQ team is involved in every phase of the project, from pre-planning through construction and operations. During pre-planning we're actively working on inventory and budgets, a responsibility matrix, and procurement standards. During schematic design, we review early architectural significant equipment specifications, creating mockups, and attending facility tours, and vendor demonstrations. Finally, during design development and into construction, our team is creating a medical equipment database with specifications and site specific vendor drawings.
Our group exclusively focuses on equipment in the following categories: Group 1 - fixed to facility and requires utility connections (imaging equipment, surgical lights, etc.); Group 1.5 - attached to walls and requires blocking for wall support (glove boxes, soap, sharps disposal, etc.); Group 2 - moveable equipment with utility requirements (mobile imaging, ventilators, etc.); and Group 3 - mobile equipment with no significant impact (waste cans, IV poles, procedure carts, etc.)
Following the equipment planning phase, our team offers procurement services in order to ensure continuity of crucial planning information. Our firm is vendor-neutral, providing our clients with the most up-to-date purchasing opportunities and best pricing resulting in tailor-made solutions for your procurement needs.
Relocating and warehousing new and existing medical equipment can be a complex task, but our team has your back. Whether you're equipping a single department or an entire hospital, our move management service is designed to meet the unique needs of your facility and each department.
