This project is part of a three-part effort to improve safety along the corridor and consists of the grading, drainage, paving, and construction of a concrete bulb-tee beam bridge and retaining walls on Lamar Avenue (State Route 4 / US-78). Lamar Avenue is a major thoroughfare in southwest Memphis, experiencing heavy commuter and truck traffic due to it’s proximity to the airport, inter-modal facility, and Mississippi suburbs.

The total project length is 1.8 miles. SSR is providing construction engineering inspection during the construction phase of the project.
