In 2018, SSR embarked on a phased renovation of their 58,000 SF corporate headquarters. This project included the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering design; sustainability services; and construction administration.

The project is LEED® certified and consisted of a complete overhaul of the of space, including additional conference and collaborative workspaces, a central break room with outdoor access, additional access to daylight and views, a more open workplan, and an upgrade of the aging mechanical and lighting systems.

This facility will save over 135,179 gallons of water per year due to efficient plumbing fixtures, equivalent of 1,023,305 bottles of drinking water saved each year. This building is designed to save 14 % annual energy costs and is designed to reduce the annual lighting power consumption by 40% when compared to standard lighting systems. Care was taken to use materials that have been verified to have been extracted or sourced in a responsible manner and manufacturers who have verified improved environmental life-cycle impacts. Indoor finishes such as paints, adhesives, coatings, flooring systems, composite wood products, and furniture were carefully chosen to meet stringent requirements for low emitting content.
