SSR is providing CEI services for three projects on State Route 85 in south Okaloosa County, Florida intended to improve traffic flow and safety along SR 85. The work includes resurfacing of SR 85 in Shalimar from Richbourg Avenue to General Bond Boulevard, and in Valparaiso from north of VPS Airport to Wolverine Avenue. Other improvements include minor widening, sidewalk repair, guardrail upgrades, bridge joint rehabilitation, new mast arm signals at SR 189, and extending the turn lanes at Nomad Way (Eglin Northwest Gate). Altogether, the three projects have a construction cost of $10.1 million and the work is expected to be completed in May.
