Joker Marchant Stadium
Lakeland, Florida
As part of a $40 million project, Joker Marchant Stadium, often called Tiger Town, is getting a facelift. Home to the MLB Detroit Tigers Spring Training Facility, the Tiger Town renovation project includes new features for fans and players alike. Major improvements include a year-round restaurant in place of the current administration offices in rightfield, accompanied by an expansion that includes an air-conditioned stadium club and covered party area. New seating will be installed down the left field line, and a walkway will be constructed around the entire complex, including the leftfield berm, which will see the construction of a new hospitality pavilion. For the players, a new 75,000 SF clubhouse and weight room will include state-of-the-art amenities like air-conditioned batting cages, four workout fields, and hydrotherapy pools. SSR is providing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering, along with technology and A/V design services for the facility.
