Children’s Health has embarked on a plan to expand the Children’s Medical Center Plano to serve the growing population in north Texas. The 300,000 SF project will add a seven-story tower to the existing campus and triple the patient capacity. The expansion will house specialty care programs such as cardiology, oncology, gastroenterology, orthopedics and neurology, among others. The project also includes improvements to ancillary services like pharmacy, lab, and imaging spaces to serve the added beds. The emergency room will be relocate and expanded as part of the project and a new parking structure will be added.

SSR has been engaged to provide mechanical, electrical, plumbing engineering design as well as sustainability and technology consulting.
