The town of Arlington, TN sits off I-40 just east of Memphis, TN.  As traffic along the I-40 corridor has increased over the years, so has the number of visitors to the downtown area of Arlington. The existing two-lane bridge over Hall Creek presented traffic concerns for safety and congestion.

In coordination with the owner and the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT), SSR was able to propose a phased project plan to allow the one-mile bridge to remain operational during the replacement and expansion project. By carefully managing the construction funds in accordance with the TDOT Local Programs Guidelines, the project was able to stay within budget.

The newly expanded four-lane prestressed I-beam bridge now serves as a safe gateway for passengers to access the Town of Arlington.
