Nashville-based Smith Seckman Reid Inc. has opened a Chicago office, the company announced late Tuesday.

The engineering firm had already been active in the Chicago market, with more than 20 ongoing or recently completed projects in the area.

“Based on our growth in the Chicago market, it was only natural that we establish roots to allow us to better serve our clients in the region,” Rob Barrick, president and CEO of Smith Seckman Reid, said in a news release. “We are committed to this market and look forward to furthering relationships with our valued partners.”
