Progress Continues at Snapdragon Stadium
Work on San Diego State University (SDSU) Snapdragon Stadium is progressing nicely and on track to host the 2022 season opener on September 3rd against the Arizona Wildcats. Recently in July, the stadium construction team reached a major milestone with the topping out ceremony with the last steel beam installed. Since then, the stadium has really begun to take shape with the finalizing of the precast seating installation. In November, permanent power was brought online from the utility, and work is progressing to begin to transfer major equipment over to permanent power.
The SSR team is frequently on site overseeing the construction progress to assess the installations are meeting specifications, as well as to help tackle coordination items in real time on site. SSR is looking forward to helping welcome the Aztecs to their new home. There is no doubt that the stadium will embody the unique culture and community of San Diego State. Go Aztecs!
