Chad Miller, PE, LEED AP, will be attending and exhibiting at the South Carolina Society for Hospital Engineers Spring conference, taking place May 6-8 in Myrtle Beach, SC. This year’s conference will focus on the latest Joint Commission/Regulatory requirements and provide plenty of opportunities to network.

Laura Ludwig, PE, and Rick Ziegler, PE, RRO, will be at the Healthcare Engineers Society of Northern Illinois conference taking place May 7 in Naperville, IL. The conference promises to be a great event with more than a dozen presentations that will help attendees understand, adapt, and succeed in today’s complex, widely changing healthcare facility world. Make sure you don’t miss Ziegler’s presentation on Building Enclosure Maintenance at 10:40 a.m. His presentation focuses on maintaining and resolving water leaks through building envelopes in existing and new facilities. Other aspects of the building enclosure will be discussed including windows, curtain walls, roofing, wall systems, and effective maintenance programs.

Colorado Association of Healthcare Engineers and Directors will hold their annual spring meeting and tradeshow May 7-8 in Denver, CO. Many from SSR will be in attendance, including Jeff Mandrell and Michael Brown. Be sure to stop by SSR’s booth located in the East Club Concourse to toss the corn hole bag for a chance to win a Yeti cooler.

This year’s SAME Joint Engineer Training Conference & Expo (JETC) will be held May 19-22 in Houston, TX. With a focus on energy, the 2015 JETC in Houston will open new discussions on the national security impacts of emerging global energy trends and America’s path to becoming a net energy exporter by 2020. Be sure to schedule time in to stop by and catch up with Ted Foster, PE, PSP, CxA, at the SSR booth (#121).
