Project Spotlight: Brentwood EQ Facility
SSR is helping the City of Brentwood achieve its commitment to sanitary infrastructure rehabilitation and improvements through the construction of the Brentwood/Metro Nashville Equalization Pump Station and Storage Facility. By reducing sanitary sewer collection system overflows, this project will improve the management of wet weather peak flows and the quality of Tennessee’s natural waterways. During a heavy storm event, the facility’s equalization storage tank will be able to retain up to four million gallons of excess water. After the weather and sanitary flow levels normalize, the tank will steadily release water back into the sewer collection system at a rate that treatment pumping and force mains located downstream can reliably manage.
