Energy Code Update: 2015 IECC and ASHRAE 90.1-2013 (2024)
Description:
As of December 2020, there are 26 states whose energy codes are at least as stringent as the 2015 IECC or ASHRAE 90.1-2013. As a result, energy codes are changing the nature of the building design process. Staying current with the latest energy code requirements is critical to updating standard design practices in order to get building per-mits approved and meet our clients’ expectations.
Learning Objectives:
Attendees will be able to recognize the significant energy requirements for the building envelope, MEP, and other building system
Attendees will learn how the use of energy modeling is being used to comply with the energy codes at an increasing rate
Attendees will be able to navigate the various paths to compliance within the 2015 IECC
