Improving Our Community

We are in the business of designing buildings and infrastructure that improves the health and quality of life for those who use the structures. Clean water, hospitals, and safe roads are all designed to improve the health and life of people. Our community giving projects are simply an extension of our work to help people live better lives. We strongly believe that giving back is not only a civic duty, but a privilege. Our corporate values state our purpose to serve the communities we live in and reflect the culture of our people.

At SSR, giving means more than writing a check. It means giving time and expertise to communities in need. Our people want to be engaged in the communities where we live and work. Our community giving projects allow us to share our knowledge, experiences, resources, and time to make a difference. We focus both our financial and non-monetary support for a variety of non-profit organizations working to better ourselves and our communities.

  • Habitat for Humanity

    The Nashville office  helped build a home for a deserving family through Habitat for Humanity. Thanks to all of our staff members who braved the frigid temperatures to help!

  • Team Max Operation Christmas Basket

    This December our Memphis office helped Team Max – One Memphis / Operation Christmas Basket distribute 5,000 food baskets to needy families.

  • Miracle Jeans Day

    In support of the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt and the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, SSR employees traded their traditional work attire for jeans.

  • Winter Wonderland

    SSR sponsored KidPOWER by providing a holiday event for children that included arts & crafts, snacks, a visit from Santa, and each child received presents of school supplies, toys, coats,  & shoes.
