Foy Shaw Parkway

Crestview, Florida

The new Foy Shaw Parkway in Crestview, FL, solves numerous issues that plague those trying to access the Bob Sikes Airport (CEW). Originally, visitors coming from the south could drive down some tiny little roads, maybe through some neighborhoods, maybe a dirt road or two. The commercial traffic through the residential neighborhood fielded many complaints. The 0.80-mile road begins at the existing intersection of US-90 (SR-10 / East James Lee Boulevard) and Cavalier Drive and continues north on a new alignment to the intersection of John Givens Road and Skyline Drive. The two-lane arterial roadway reduces traffic through the neighborhood and provides direct and easy airport access. SSR provided CEI services for the project, which was completed in the Summer of 2021.

Foy Shaw Parkway consists of a rural typical section with two 12-foot travel lanes and six-foot shoulders within a new 150-foot wide corridor. The addition of an eastbound left-turn lane as well as a westbound right-turn lane along US-90 was also included. The project crosses wetlands and includes utility relocations.
