Greenhouse Gas Reporting
We are developing our greenhouse gas emissions inventory to better understand how day-to-day operations influence the company’s carbon footprint.
Our inventory includes both Scope 1 Direct and Scope 2 Indirect emissions. Our Scope 1 emissions come from our fleet vehicles, HVAC refrigerants, and natural gas consumption. Our Scope 2 emissions come from purchased electricity. While we have many offices located around the country, the Nashville location is the only building where we have significant operational control. This baseline inventory is the first step towards reducing our environmental impact and becoming a more sustainable company.
2024
As part of the Horizon Activities within SSR’s IMPACT initiative, we are endeavoring to mitigate future GHG emissions. Compared to reporting year 2023, the difference in company-wide emissions includes a decrease in overall fleet vehicle fuel usage attributed largely to the reduction of miles driven between jobsites by SSR colleagues.
