Our healthcare portfolio began in 1968 by establishing a trust-based relationship with HCA that has been maintained over the years. This ongoing relationship has allowed our team to completed more than 300 projects at over 50 HCA facilities across the United States.
In 1991, we began working with the Houston Methodist Hospital System on a prototypical facility which would be built at Willowbrook, Sugar Land, and Katy. Since then, we have continued to serve and oversee projects on all seven hosptial campuses for both capital and non capital projects.
We have served Sarasota Memorial Hospital since 1993, providing a range of services on over 200 projects. We continue to work with SMH on infrastructure upgrades and replacements.
We have been working on the Vanderbilt University Medical Center campus since the early 1980s. Our services include a wide range of design, consulting, and planning projects for new construction, expansion, and infrastrucutre upgrades.
We have been working with Cook Children’s Medical Center (CCMC) since 1996, helping this growing pediatric service provider evolve and anticipate future needs. Our collaboration with UT Southwestern has encompassed multiple locations, extending from Dallas to other regions across Texas, ensuring the growth and enhancement of UT Southwestern's facilities and services.
Building controls can have life cycles that exceed 30 years, so it takes a long time for advancements in controls to gain widespread adoption. Traditionally, the networks connecting controllers to the operator’s station have been in silos with segregated networks for each system. Because it has been easier for the vendors to coordinate than the engineer, they were only addressed with performance specs and maybe a generic wiring diagram.
Earlier this year, our team embarked on a transformative journey to Chuuk, a remote island in the Federated States of Micronesia. Partnering with SS&A, an architectural and engineering firm from Montgomery, AL, we aimed to design a replacement hospital that would serve the local community’s needs.
Working with approximately $2 billion in healthcare construction and renovation projects each year, we can attest to the prevalence of humidity issues among a range of healthcare facilities including hospitals, medical office buildings, outpatient facilities, and more.
