Building Performance Engineer
Since completing his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Tennessee Technological University in 2002, Clark has used his talents to grow the energy modeling and consulting service line at SSR. His passion for a challenge has led him to be successful in helping a variety of clients in various markets achieve the challenge of creating energy efficient buildings.
Clark is a registered engineer in the State of Tennessee. He is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), The U. S. Green Building Council (USGBC), and the Asssociation of Energy Engineers (AEE). He is a Certified Energy Manager through the AEE, an ASHRAE certified Building Energy Management Professional, and is recognized as a LEED AP BD+C by the USGBC.
Clark has been recognized amongst his peers for his accomplishments. Most notably he was the recipient of Consulting Specifying Engineer’s 2012 40 Under 40 Award. His is also a voting member on ASHRAE Standards Project Committee 209 for “Energy Simulation-Aided Design for Buildings”.
Clark has contributed articles to Business Energy, Consulting Specifying Engineer, and Building Operating Management magazines. He is a frequent speaker at AABC Commissioning Group and American Institute of Architects events.
When he’s not improving the efficiency and effectiveness of buildings, Clark enjoys being outdoors with his family, blazing down a wooded trail in a 4-wheeler in the middle of the night, or laughing at Dr. Sheldon Cooper on The Big Bang Theory. If you visit with Clark, he’s likely to take you to his favorite restaurant, Famous Dave’s, or to the Stones River Battlefield in Murfreesboro, TN. He might even share his mom’s recipe for barbeque meatballs.
